The Men of the Sea by Diane Hein

I wonder at the men of the sea
The fishing boats that become their home
To make a living working all day long
And often in the pitch black of night.
                Through calm waters
                To waves of rage
To icy waters splashing on the deck.
What special gift makes these men
                Risk life, limb and family
Who am I to ever complain?
