The Grand Canyon's Silence By Diane Hein

Nature’s palace stretched for miles and miles
      It spoke not a word
And yet I heard the Canyon’s voice:
      Splendor, magnificence and grandeur.
Their echoes I heard billowing from rock to rock
      And then back to me.
And in this visibly silent harmony
      I was listening to God.

Thought for the Dayby Diane Hein

     The mystery still remains:
How can the barren rocks of the Grand Canyon
     bring such joy?

Smile for the Day by Diane Hein

There are only two ways to see the bottom
of the Canyon, a day long trek by donkey or walking.
Or my way…a telescopic camera! :)
